I love turbo AWDs as much as the next guy, believe me. I ran out and bought one of the last 1999 Eclipse GSXs I could find on dealer lots. So I'm glad to hear the WRX is coming. Not for me, but glad to see it is here. I was happier still to learn that Mitsu is trying to get the new Evo VII over here. That would be awesome, especially if they keep performance up around 300hp. Those engines are brilliant. The whole car is mechanically beautiful to me. If they keep price low, like in mid $20k's, I'll think hard about adding one to the stable. But all that pales in comparison to the latest rumors. I've head these rumors before, but they sound better than ever right now. Nissan may bring over the new Skyline (R-35). I'm down for that. Maybe, just maybe, enough to make me sell my Z. It would have to come with the 4.5 liter V8, turbocharged for 450hp like one possible choice I've read. They already use the engine in the Infiniti Q45 non-boosted at 340hp. It's supposed to be silky smooth and a torque monster ([ www.infiniti.com ]). all rumors, but if they bring it and keep it to $50k ballpark or less. I think I might have to get one. Have you guys seen the latest renditiion of the R-35? Killer looks! Although I would miss my cozy 2-seater and t-tops. Some things just can't be replaced. My friend keeps telling me that in a few years/decades, my car(s) will be classics. We'll see. Of course it just gets harder and harder to keep adding cars without selling one.
